Pole tents must be installed on level (Grass surface) only! This style has (center poles) up the middle. Area must measure out at least 6ft larger than tent provided. example: 20 x 20 needs at least a 26 x 26 area in order to spike down.20 x 30 needs at least a 26 x 36 area.20 x 40 needs at least a 26 x 46 area
